FRPCUG SEEKS PARTNERS
FRPCUG accomplishes much through partnerships with other local organizations and businesses. The importance of these relationships is described here. We have had some of these relationships for two decades, others, even longer. The process is about community building for the computer club. Among the benefits are some of the most interesting programs brought to us from outside the club membership, yet coming from member experiences. These Partners assist in our advanced planning, developing programming themes, and providing resources for Club meetings, classes and activities. We honor our Partners.
Partner benefits include listing and links on our website, advertisements in our publications, opportunities to present new hardware and software at our General Meetings, and access to 50+ (and growing) member-customers at an extremely low cost. Our long association with the Data Service Center (DSC) is testimony to our fidelity to the partnerships in the past.
FRPCUG PARTNERS WITH FORT COLLINS SENIOR CENTER
FRPCUG currently is in a contractual and partnership arrangement with the Fort Collins Senior Center to provide classes on a regular basis in exchange for scheduled meeting space for monthly General Meetings and for our Board of Directors Meetings. These arrangements have greatly facilitated our educational mission under the 501(c)(3) non-profit status. We have been carrying out these activities over the last several years, beginning in January, 2003.
The classes taught by FRPCUG and offered through the Fort Collins Senior Center are advertised in the Senior Center Pathways magazine, and the Fort Collins Recreator magazine. See also the "Sr. Ctr. Class Schedule" link on the right side of this page. These classes provide opportunities to community members and club members, alike, to hone computer skills and develop courses that have durable appeal to the community. All members and members of the community are encouraged to jump in and help teach the classes, or take the classes to learn more and improve their computer skills.
OTHER NON-PROFIT PARTNERS
FRPCUG has a partnership with KRFC, 88.9 FM. KRFC provides "Community powered music, news and entertainment." For more information, connect to KRFC FM. FRPCUG provides computer maintenance help to KRFC, and, in return, KRFC helps expand the knowledge of FRPCUG activities within the local community.
FRPCUG PARTNERS WITH LOCAL RETAILERS
Partners involved in computer sales and services have been very helpful in providing programs, space, consulting, recommendations, support, and, sometimes providing door prizes for our general meeting. FRPCUG provides recognition of those retailers that provide knowledgeable, courteous and price-competitive help to all members of the local community whether they are novices or experts.

Run PC
Since DSC has closed we are working to forge an on-going relationship with Run PC. Run PC is a merchant of computers, peripherals, software and service to which DSC has referred its customers and suppliers. Run PC has built the same quality and manufacture of custom computers as did DSC and has two levels of warranties, at three (3) years and at one (1) year for the same products. Though each former customer of DSC should verify the warranty from DSC will be honored by Run PC for their particular purchase, it is our understanding that warranties generally will be honored there.
Jon, the owner at Run PC, "wants to build on the foundation of cooperation and trust built by DSC with our club." For more information, connect to Run PC.
