FRPCUG is an independent, nonprofit (501c3), computer club based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Meetings are open to anyone interested in any microcomputer using any operating system (OS,) for example: MS-DOS, Windows, or UNIX/LINUX. Our purpose is to provide an educational and scientific forum, where new computer users can learn about their computers from other members.
MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT -- May 6, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Fort Collins Senior Center. Our general meeting topic: "Personal Information Managers"
Our program: "Personal Information Managers", Presenters include Rick Mattingly, Charles McJilton, and Mike Morris from our Club. We have all used personal information managers at various times, but movement of our data has posed problems that appear insurmountable at times. Our members "in the know" will lead us through the process of selecting options, identifying applications, and discussing compatiblitly of PDAs. Members comments are, as always, welcome.
Bring a friend and/or family member to show what we're about. Bring a young friend and let's see if they have a view of what our club could do for younger members. We're interested in what they have to say, we'll treat them right and they'll think you're the "bomb".
Our Forum is an opportunity for those wishing to display recent acquisitions in the technology arms race, and for those willing to share any problems encountered in firing up software or equipment.
Those of us hopelessly mired in the last century's technology will weep and gnash our teeth. Of course, newcomers are welcome! We frown on open gloating and school-yard taunts! Come join the fellowship!!
